I know she is against the immigration from Muslim North Africa, but a lot of French are. They think such an infusion pollutes French culture. France doesn't have the same immigrant-friendly history that the USA have. I think there was a letter in which she said she was tire of the North Africans insisting on slaughtering some sheep ritualistically or something like that. I remember we her had some similar problem with the Haitians slaughter chickens for religious purposes. Not sure how racist that was.
